Yin Yang
There are several levels of knowledge that we can use to work with Feng Shui
The first most accessible level is to understand the meaning of Yin and Yang. This famous sign illustrates the interdependence of the white portion with the black portion using the opposite coloured circle in each side: black circle in the white portion, white circle in the black.
Yin and Yang are the names given to polar opposite forces in nature. Considered the primal forces from which everything is created and dissolved or destroyed, each is ascribed certain properties.
In nature nothing is solely Yin or solely Yang. They are in opposition to each other but completely in harmony: night would not exist without the day, man without woman, winter without summer, exhaling without inhaling.
Doing a little step forward, we should look at the Yin/ Yang not as a static symbol bur something that evolve and moves.
In feng shui, the balance of Yin and Yang already creates harmony and unity between human beings and their environment.
